Add Chandler Kinney to the long list of Dancing With the Stars fans shocked by Brandon Armstrong and Lauren Jauregui’s elimination.
“They put in some serious work!!!!! My S34 TEAM ALWAYS @BrandonArmstrong @LuarenJauregui,” Kinney, 25, wrote via her Instagram Story on Wednesday, October 1. “I am s h o c k e d Lauren.”
Armstrong, 31, and Jauregui’s elimination came in the final moments of Dancing With the Stars’ inaugural TikTok Night, an evening dedicated to the social media platform.
During the Tuesday, September 30, episode, the duo performed a cha-cha to “Work From Home” by Fifth Harmony featuring Ty Dolla $ign, as her fellow group members Normani, Ally Brooke and Dinah Jane sat in the audience to cheer her on.
Dancing With the Stars’ Most Shocking Eliminations Over the Years
“The way you lit up that stage was SO fun and addicting to watch, and the confidence & fierceness you brought to that ballroom was absolutely electric!!!” Kinney wrote in her tribute post. “Anywho who has the nerve to get up on that stage and dance for their life under those lights and in front of those cameras has my immense respect. You really did your thang out here!!!!”

Kinney proceeded to turn her attention to Armstrong, who was her professional partner when she competed on season 33 in 2024.
“B, I so badly wanted everyone to see your genius artistry this season, and I’m beyond bummed (to say the least) that got cut short,” she wrote. “Love love love to you both.”
After cohosts Julianne Hough and Alfonso Ribeiro announced that Armstrong and Jauregui, 29, were eliminated from the competition, many dancers and pros could be seen looking shocked by the surprising results.
When asked how she felt about being sent home after week 3, Jaurergui said she was “pissed.”

The singer proceeded to turn the focus to her partner and explain that she was “so grateful” to be paired with him.
Earlier in the season, Armstrong admitted that the competition was extra fierce this fall. As a result, he vowed to always move in a “positive direction” with his partner.
Revisit the Most Disastrous 'Dancing With the Stars' Partners Ever
“I think that it’s so weird in this competition, if you stay still, you’re actually going backwards,” he exclusively shared with Us on September 23. “Other couples are always going to progress. I think it’s really easy to see couples one or two weeks do really well, but then [after] that three, four, five or six [week], it shows the discipline and the commitment to the style. I think a goal of mine and Lauren’s is that we’re always creeping towards the top.”
Jauregui added, “I’m hoping that I can stay consistent and get some good feedback for the Latin dances as well.”
Dancing With the Stars airs on ABC and Disney+ Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET.
