Netflix subscribers are in for an unusual convergence this weekend with two historical dramas destined for the top 10.
Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight returns to the streamer with House of Guinness, while American screenwriter Steven S. DeKnight‘s Spartacus is making its Netflix debut.
Those are two of the easiest picks I’ve ever had to make for Watch With Us‘ three underrated Netflix shows I can’t wait to watch this weekend.
Our third pick for the week is Billionaire’s Bunker, a Spanish thriller that’s already proven to be very popular on Netflix.
Netflix's New Movies and TV Shows in September 2025: 'House of Guinness' and More
‘House of Guinness’ (2025)
Have you ever had a Guinness beer? If so, then you may have noticed that the brand dates back to 1759. There’s a lot of history behind that, and House of Guinness picks up at a pivotal moment in the 19th century when brewery owner Benjamin Guinness passes away.
Who’s going to maintain the family empire? Siblings Arthur Guinness (Anthony Boyle) and Edward Guinness (Louis Partridge) both think it should be them, but their sister, Anne Plunket (Emily Fairn), shouldn’t be underestimated. The middle son, Benjamin (Fionn O’Shea), may have too many personal demons to be a major factor in this fight. But no matter which sibling ends up in control of the brewery, there’s trouble ahead, and they need to stick together.
House of Guinness is streaming on Netflix.
‘Billionaire’s Bunker’ (2025)
If it’s the end of the world, won’t somebody please think of the poor, innocent billionaires who deserve to live while the rest of us perish in a nuclear apocalypse? A woman named Minerva (Miren Ibarguren) has given them a lot of thought in the new Spanish thriller, Billionaire’s Bunker. In fact, it’s clear from the beginning that Minerva has been planning for this day for a long time. She even has a luxury underground bunker ready to go for her wealthy clients when it looks like the bombs are going to drop.

The impending end of everything allows Max (Pau Simón) to be freed from prison for his role in the accident that claimed the life of his lover, Ane (Monica Mara). Max’s wealthy family has purchased his place alongside them in the bunker, and Ane’s family is there too. As much as Max wants to make amends with Ane’s loved ones, there may not be any room for forgiveness. Either way, they’re about to have much bigger problems to deal with.
Billionaire’s Bunker is streaming on Netflix.
‘Spartacus’ (2010 – 2013)
The historical Spartacus is still a legendary figure over 2,000 years after his death. Andy Whitfield played the iconic warrior in the first season of Spartacus, while Liam McIntyre took over the role from season 2 onward when Whitfield succumbed to non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
Spartacus tells the story from the beginning of a Thracian man who is condemned to be a gladiator in the arena. Because of his skills in battle, Spartacus quickly rises to become the champion of his owners, Quintus Lentulus Batiatus (John Hannah) and his wife, Lucretia (Lucy Lawless). Spartacus turns out to be a leader among men, and when he stages an uprising, it triggers a larger war between slaves and their masters that shakes the very foundations of Rome.
Spartacus is streaming on Netflix.
