ESPN are ramping up their preparations ahead of the NFL and college football seasons.
The Worldwide Leader In Sports has announced the return of a familiar face to their NFL coverage and confirmed the arrival of a former NFL quarterback to its College Gameday coverage.

ESPN re-signs Field Yates
Field Yates will continue as a regular fixture on ESPN after signing a multi-year deal with the company.
The 38-year-old has become a popular face on ESPN in recent years and has now committed his broadcasting future to the network.
He will serve as the company’s lead NFL Draft analyst and also be the face of ESPN’s multiplatform Fantasy Football coverage.
“ESPN has re-signed Field Yates to a multi-year agreement, continuing his role as one of the company’s lead NFL Draft, Fantasy Football and overall NFL analysts and insiders,” ESPN’s Press Room announced.
Yates, who is a well-respected analyst among his peers, drew praise online after his new deal was reported.
Among them was Laura Rutledge, a fellow reporter and host for ESPN and SEC Network.
“This makes me the happiest! No one more deserving. So excited for you,” she wrote on X above a post of Yates’ new deal.
And in a world where criticism is fast and furious when it comes to ESPN pundits, the reaction online was overwhelmingly positive regarding Yates’ announcement.
“Awesome guy, really talented, too. Love to see it,” one fan said online.
“He’s fantastic, well deserved!!” another fan wrote on X.

ESPN add Chase Daniel to College Gameday coverage
The moves over at ESPN don’t stop there, as former longtime NFL quarterback Chase Daniels is joining as a college football color commentator.
Daniels is highly rated by ESPN, with many expecting him to be a high-level analyst.
He will also join the NFL as a studio analyst.
Daniels, who is 38, enjoyed a 13-year career in the NFL, most of which was as a backup.
He enjoyed stints with the New Orleans Saints, Kansas City Chiefs, Philadelphia Eagles, Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, and Los Angeles Chargers.
Daniels earned $43.1 million as a player and made just five career NFL starts.
His arrival also confirms the fact that fans will watch a different College GameDay on ESPN this year.
That’s because the longtime fixture of the show, Lee Corso, is leaving the show on Aug.30.
Coroso has been on the program since its inception in 1987.
Furthermore, reporter Gene Wojciechowski is leaving ESPN after a 27-year run.
However, there are additions, too, with the network recently hiring a social media star who once made $1 million on Snapchat.
It was also revealed that Katie George will be part of the NFL’s MNF crew for five games this season, making her debut in Week 2 as part of ESPN’s doubleheader.
ESPN has made headlines recently over a number of hilarious on-air moments.
Philadelphia Eagles legend Jason Kelce left his colleague in stitches over a Browns joke, while Stephen A. Smith appeared to a lose a ‘tooth’ on a recent episode of First Take.
