It marked a big moment for Harry Kane as he won the first piece of silverware in his career.

The England captain finished as the top goalscorer in the division with 26 goals, which was down from the 36 he scored in the previous year.

Still, he will be eyeing more silverware this year, while Leipzig will be hoping for a much better year.

The Bundesliga side have been used to being near the top of the table over the last few years, but they have no European football this season after a shambolic domestic campaign.

Bayern Munich vs RB Leipzig: Team news

It has been a relatively quiet transfer window for Bayern.

They spent big on Luis Diaz and could give him his Bundesliga debut here, but apart from that, Jonathan Tah and young Tom Bischof are the only notable arrivals.

They do also have plenty of injury issues.

Alphonso Davies is working his way back from an ACL injury.

Of course, Jamal Musiala will have no involvement after suffering a broken foot in in the Club World Cup.

For Leipzig, the big question is whether Xavi Simons starts.

The Dutchman had looked set to join Chelsea, but talkSPORT understands the two clubs can’t agree a deal.

Things have also gone quiet since Benjamin Sesko joined Manchester United from the German side.
