Paris Saint-Germain vs Bayern Munich predictions
If attendances in the Club World Cup group stage were mixed, there will surely be a full house at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium for this titanic tussle between two European giants.
Only one of Paris Saint-Germain or Bayern Munich will make it through to the semi-finals, where either Real Madrid or Borussia Dortmund await.
These two teams have ended up on the tougher side of the draw, but both PSG and Bayern will nevertheless fancy their chances of going all the way.
Luis Enrique’s side kick-started their campaign with a 4-0 thrashing of Atletico Madrid, picking up from where they left off in the Champions League final.
However, a shock 1-0 defeat by Botafogo promptly brought them back down to earth. That loss served as a warning to PSG to not get ahead of themselves.
Top spot in the group was secured courtesy of a routine 2-0 victory over Seattle Sounders on matchday three.
Another MLS opponent awaited in the round of 16, and PSG showed no mercy as they established a 4-0 lead over Inter Miami by half-time. There were no further goals in the second period, but only because the Parisians eased off.
As for Bayern Munich, they only managed to finish as runners-up in Group C. A 10-0 demolition of Auckland City was followed by a 2-1 defeat of Boca Juniors, after which Vincent Kompany shuffled his pack for the meeting with Benfica. That decision backfired, as Bayern’s second string lost 1-0 to drop down to second.
Bayern beat Flamengo 4-2 in a high-quality last-16 tie, setting up this clash with PSG. They begin the match as underdogs, but this feels like a game which could easily go either way.
Bayern beat PSG 1-0 as recently as November, but the French heavyweights are virtually a different team now. A switch seemed to flick at the Parc des Princes around the turn of the year, setting PSG on the path to Champions League glory.
Bayern have improved with time too, although their exit in the quarter-finals of the Champions League shows they are not quite ready to rule the continent again. Victory this summer would give them the belief that they can do so next season, though.
“We have to rebuild the energy,” Kompany said. “Two top sides playing each other on the big stage. We’ll be ready for that.”

Paris Saint-Germain vs Bayern Munich betting tips
Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich do battle in the quarter-finals of the Club World Cup.
PSG to win
PSG’s defeat by Botafogo proved they are not invincible, but in a strange way that loss may have done the European champions good.
It served as a reminder to Luis Enrique’s side that they cannot be complacent about anything, despite their considerable success in 2024/25.
Bayern Munich will see this as a golden chance to make a statement against the reigning kings of the European continent, but we fancy PSG to edge it.
The French side have some serious momentum behind them, while their team is better balanced from back to front than Bayern’s.
PSG can get the job done inside 90 minutes on Saturday.
Choose PSG to win at 6/5 with Tote
Over 3.5 goals
Bayern Munich are better going forward than they are defensively. Kompany may conclude that attack is the best form of defence.
PSG are much more robust than they once were, but they do leave spaces which can be exploited by smart opponents.
Bayern possess significant firepower in the final third. Harry Kane is one of the most reliable goalscorers around, with Jamal Musiala and Michael Olise providing support from slightly deeper.
As for PSG, they demonstrated throughout their triumphant Champions League that they pack a punch in attack.
We should be treated to an entertaining encounter in Atlanta.
Tip over 3.5 goals at 11/8 with Sky Bet
Harry Kane to score any time
Although PSG are the best bet to win this quarter-final, Harry Kane is our recommended pick in the anytime scorer market.
Kane is deadly in and around the penalty area, and he will test the PSG defence like few other strikers have.
The England captain opened the scoring against Boca Juniors in the group phase, then notched a pivotal brace in the 4-2 defeat of Flamengo.
This will be a tough game for Bayern, but we still expect Kane to make his mark.
